Aaron Loveitt worked with Lillian on the Confluence Project with Maya Lin. The Welcoming Gate and Seating Baskets were created for the Vancouver Land Bridge in Vancouver Washington.

Lilian Pitt will be at NW By NW Gallery on Friday April 30th at 3:30.

On Saturday May 1, she will receive an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Portland. She is an icon of NW Art & Culture.

“This sculpture is a work honoring the determination found in the life cycle of the salmon. Traveling across great distances, their ancient and benevolent duty brings health to the rivers we share and a life lesson to be gained. This work will contribute to the insight, beauty and humble wisdom of the salmon species.”
